60 Sec Confidence Building – Turn your Scars into Trophies
by Samson
Scars are things that follow many of us. A lot of the time, people wear so many layers of outfit or smother their face with so much make up. And some just don’t want to come outside or talk to anyone. When they do, they make sure it’s late, dark and no one can see them. They try to conceal the scars whether physical or internal.
When a boxer fights in the ring and wins, when soldiers come back from a just-won war, when a mother just gives birth, they are all left with marks. Marks of triumph! Marks of triumph are badges of honor.
Both scars and marks affect us in ways determined by how we regard them.
Many of us have marks from our past. But for some reason, we hide them. Let me ask you a question. If you were part of a football team, and you won the tournament, will you hide your medal or wear it proudly? Your answer tells you a lot.
Refuse to be enslaved by your past!
I understand it’s hard but let the scars remind you that no matter what happened, you scaled through. You fought, you won! It was tough but you’re still standing. Let the scar remind you that you are not weak, you are stronger than you thought. Let that scar remind you that you have greatness within you. So whether it was something emotional or some sort of abuse, the fact is that you are here now, moving on and fighting on. You are not just strong, your middle name should be Triumph! Be emboldened by it.
What’s your most enduring trophy? What’s your most hurtful scar? Do share with us.
