‘A Chance’ – Sadness Defying Poem
.
Again, you took a big leap of faith
Another dive into waters unknown
Another attempt, another hope raised
And then, lost… Another chance gone.
.
Where is that cup? Is it still running over,
Or has it all spilled? Is it now too late?
Should one do all that one can, again
Or should one succumb to this fate?
.
You may feel pain where you once had joy
It happens to everyone, at some point
Whether young or old, a girl or a boy
Dreams get delayed & folks disappoint
.
It’s not good to be too sad for too long
In the absence of hope and where faith is gone
It’s a dangerous zone where light doesn’t shine
It’s a frightening mirage – that place is a lie!
.
Get up inside – you’ve been lying down
Return to the truth and put on your crown
Reappointed… This is the vision you’ll see
Disappointed is not what you’re meant to be
.
Do you know that tomorrow is near?
Will you meet it in faith or in fear?
Which voice will you hear?
Which one will you ban?
.
Choose One. Let it be God’s Voice
Sometimes, depression really is a choice
To stay sad or not? You don’t have to yield
Pick up His sword. Hold up His shield…
.
Ready or not? Many lives are at stake
You have been bent, but you mustn’t break
Hey! These tears belong to yesterday…
Let the tears dry now, or wipe them away
.
Ready or not – another day comes
Don’t waste this day. It’s a chance!
