Anne Arouna was born in Africa in a polygamous Muslim family among several siblings. Anne encountered all manner of abuse from trusted families and friends, and suffered greatly as a result. Thinking that getting married would ease her pain, she got married to the first man that came along, also a polygamous man.
Unfortunately, things worsened as she was wrongly accused, rejected, beaten, battered and scarred. She went through so much pain, anguish and hurts for many years, and even suffered depression at one point.
One night, Anne had a spiritual encounter that marked her journey in her new found faith of Christianity, led her to forgive wholeheartedly all those who had hurt and harmed her throughout her life. Unfortunately, because of her new faith in Christianity, he rejected her and asked for divorce. Anne was abandoned with her young son to fend for themselves..
Anne is at peace with every one of her abusers that are still alive today. Anne uses her experience to teach and empower others particularly abused ladies, that there is so much power, freedom and joy in forgiveness even to those who have abused you.
Anne is a speaker, writer, interpreter, a columnist and a life coach. She is a co-author of The Giant Within US a best seller book. Anne is also a teacher by profession holding a degree in French Studies, and also a PGCE. She speaks over 10 different languages.
Anne enjoys speaking and writing about Female Genital Mutilation, forgiveness, mental health issues from abuse, also regret and faith. She enjoys changing lives through counselling in her church ministry.
Anne enjoys cooking and writing. Anne is working for the Lord in her church ministry. Her forthcoming book The Power of the Promise will be out Summer 2015.
