Happy New Year!   Here is wishing you the best for this year…

Best Mental Health Blogs of 2015

We want to start the year on a very positive note and want to carry our subscribers, readers and guests with us in that spirit.  We carefully put together some of our best mental health blogs from our bloggers of 2015 a few days ago.  If you have not read them, please do so as you will be inspired, encouraged and motivated.  Indeed 2016 is a great year and how best to start the new year with lots of hopeful expectation.

So in like manner we have put together Part 2 just for you…

We loved Cerridwen Heart’s story.   Firstly, we are so chuffed that she chose Defying Mental Illness to open up for the very first time about overcoming her mental health challenges!  Indeed her story may sound heartbreaking to start with, but as we continue with her, we can see that even in the worst of all circumstances, there is always hope.  Cerridwen shares this in Part 1 , talks about her stormy relationship(s) in Part 2  and about taking strides to overcome these challenges in Part 3.

We got a good debate going over on Pinterest with Reed Parker’s Should Your Boss Know About Your Challenges With Mental Illness?     What do you think?  And if you think you should, how do you go about it.  This post was so good, our judges were unanimous with our Great Minds Blogging Competition.   Well, there is only one way to find out what the big deal is, and to know what Reed thinks and advises, and that is to click the link above.

Reed also gave us a very valuable gem on 5 Traits of a Quality Counselor  How do you find one?  There are so many around but do you know how to look for the one that suits your needs?

Carmen took us through her spiritual journey on winning eating disorders.  Today she wears many hats as a singer, songwriter, dancer, dance and performance coach and a creative producer.  Read her inspiring story in Part 1   and Part 2.

Beautifully Bronzed, one of our regular bloggers, wow, gave us so much to think on.  They believe in being the best one can be!  Just how?  Spray tanning.  You thought we were going to say something else, didn’t you.  Well tanning is popular but many are not tanning safely or even attractively.  Beautifully Bronzed showed us throughout 2016 that tanning is easy, yes safe and you can be beautifully bronzed.  Find out how here.

People write us and tell us that when they share their story with us on Defying Mental Illness, it aids their recovery process.  And we believe, that sharing your story helps not just other people but also ourselves.   We always welcome inspiring stories of your journey.

So if you have something you would like to contribute then why not become a guest blogger  or share your story

It is one thing to put on your to-do list for 2016!
