Quote of the week – The Healer

Time dulls the pain

God heals
Does time really heal?

It is often said that time is a healer.  There are some things that even with the passage of time, never heals.  How does time heal abuse?  How does time heal even grief?

Often not.  Sometimes a trigger is all it takes to bring up the pain again, and you find you are back to square one.

If time was a great healer, many will not seek counselling endlessly.  There are just some pain that ordinary words can never heal.

But there is One that promises to touch the crevices of our heart and our pain.  And that is Jesus.  One lady can testify to this.

There is a peace that God gives that the world cannot give.  This He says in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

This is a peace that passes all understanding.  This is a peace that gives you an undefined assurance that all is well even when your world has just crashed around you.

If we allow that peace into our lives, we can find lasting healing from emotional pain and grief.  Like many, I found that peace when tragedy suddenly struck

Yes, it may be a step by step healing but you will definitely get better.
