Regulations For Living – 5 Essential Ones
We all want prosperity. It guarantees our comfort and leisure in life. With it our sphere of influence increases. Sometimes we are selfish with this need.
To keep one in the straight and narrow, I recommend regulations for living. Below are 5 essential ones
1 Be Very Self Aware
If you do not know yourself well, you are starting off on shaky foundations. Be conscious of your emotions. Be conscious of your automatic responses.
Training yourself effectively can only come from a realistic baseline. All too often our automatic responses blind us from learning lessons from situations.
2 Know What You Are Giving
Very often what we are giving out is not exactly what we intend it to be. None of us can see our full picture. That’s why there are mirrors.
It’s essential to seek and obtain frank and constructive feedback. If you develop a culture of giving feedback you often find that you receive even more feedback.
3 Esteem others more highly than yourself
This is one sure way of keeping pride in check. For those of who believe in the Good Book, we know very well that is the reason Lucifer transformed into satan.
Esteeming others more than yourself is not making yourself a doormat. It only opens you up to learning from others.
4 Cherish Learning
Continuous learning is the only sure way to good success. Zoe just told me a Ford made in 1994 may have been the most excellent for the time, however if Ford did not continuously seek to improve on it – others would sure less improve on it.
That’s not good success, is it?
5 Be Specific on what you meditate on
We are build by what we feed ourselves on. Think about it, every one has the same 24 hours. You are either creating or consuming.
Think of a garden as well. If not properly tended weeds automatically take over the garden. Effort is required to produce the best crop. Regulations on what you meditate upon is essential.
Likewise to produce the most creative of minds. If what you are meditating upon is not moving your life forward, my frank advice is- junk it!
The main difference is that you are sitting still, usually with your eyes closed and looking straight ahead, and probably with a timer set. So the setting is very different from idle daydreaming. Finally, I would say the most important difference is the INTENTION. You are intending to meditate, to reach a state of mental clarity, oneness, joy, and whatever other goals your spiritual system specifies (if you have one, which is probably a good idea), at some point in the future. So, you meditate today to become those things weeks, months, years in the future. This intention is simply not present with idle daydreaming. I believe practice with strong intention to become a better person is the most powerful way to meditate. The intention really drives the whole thing forward. And you have already established that intention on some level, else you would not be seeking out sites like this.
“intention” is always the driver. However, follow through is essential
