Tell us a little about yourself

I consider myself to be a battler of borderline personality disorder (BPD).

What mental health challenges have you experienced?

I have been suffering from BPD since the age of 17.  I experience suicide adaptations on a daily basis and feel like I am constantly balancing on a tight rope of emotions.  I have had six suicide attempts in the past and still live to the best of my ability in the intense pain I feel.

How did you get support for your mental illness?

BPD is often portrayed very negatively on the internet.  I suffered a lot of stigma and I was very misunderstood as an individual.  I was very fortunate to have the support network of my friends who are very welcoming and understanding and got me through a lot of difficult times.
